Dhanbad was carrying 1 crore cash, 2 youths caught at Varanasi Cantt railway station

Varanasi: In view of Holi, police checking has intensified at all public places including railway stations. During the checking on Monday, the GRP has got a big success at the Cantt railway station. Two youths going from Varanasi to Dhanbad with Rs one crore cash in their bags have been detained. The GRP team is interrogating the accused. The Income Tax Department team also reached the spot.

It is being told that both the accused were preparing to go to Dhanbad by Dehradun Express with the money. During interrogation, the youth told that this money belonged to Khatu Ji Shyam Traders, a company that manufactures bars. These people work in this company.

‘Caught a backpack full of money from a person who came in the street’

CO GRP Kunwar Pratap Singh of Cantt Railway Station said that two youths were seen in suspicious condition on platform number nine with a pitta bag. When in doubt, he was questioned. On searching the bag, cash of Rs 1 crore was found in it. The youths say that they were called to a street near the Maldahiya petrol pump. A person who came there handed over a backpack full of money.
