Noida: Brother-in-law attacked the woman with a knife, leaving her on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway thinking she was dead

Noida:A woman was found injured on Sunday near the Eastern Peripheral Expressway (KGP). The woman was stabbed on the neck with a knife. It is alleged that the brother-in-law attacked her and fled leaving her thinking she was dead. The auto driver passing by took the woman to the hospital. Police has admitted the victim to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi.

ACP-2 Greno, Sarthak Sengar told that the injured woman is Sunita, a resident of Delhi. After the death of her husband, she got married to another person from Gajraula. The woman was living with her brother-in-law in Dadri for three days. It is alleged that on Sunday, the brother-in-law took him to the KGP for a bike ride and injured him by attacking him with a knife. After this, the accused left him thinking that he was dead and ran away. After some time, when the victim regained consciousness, she took help from an auto driver, who admitted her to a private hospital.

From there the police admitted him from CHC to the district hospital and from there to Delhi Safdarjung Hospital. The ACP said that necessary action will be taken on receipt of Tahrir. Earlier, on the night of January 1, the dead body of a woman with her face crushed was found at the KGP. In winter, no warm cloth was found on the woman’s body and even slippers were not found on her feet. The police are yet to identify the woman’s body.
