Karnataka Elections: How many seats in Karnataka Assembly are reserved for SC/ST, know

Karnataka Election 2023: The conchshell for the upcoming assembly elections to be held in Karnataka has been done. This time voting is going to be held in Karnataka on 10th May, while the results of the elections will be declared after 3 days i.e. on 13th May. And this time 36 seats have been reserved for Scheduled Castes and 15 seats for Scheduled Tribes in Karnataka.

Let us tell you that elections will be contested on a total of 224 assembly seats in Karnataka. Out of which 173 seats are reserved under general category. Announcing the Karnataka election dates, Chief Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar said that all young voters who turn 18 by April 1 will be able to vote in the Karnataka Assembly elections.

Number of voters 5 crore 21 lakh
This time the Election Commission has talked about tight security to prevent any kind of rigging. This time the Election Commission has talked about making a total of 117 check posts in the entire state. This time the total number of voters in the state is 5 crore 21 lakh. Of these, the number of male voters is 2.62 crore and that of women is 2.59 crore. And the number of people above 80 is 12.15 lakh.

This time the number of persons with disabilities (PWD) has increased to 5.55 lakh. There has been an increase of about 150 percent in this. The Election Commission said that a total of 9 lakh 17 thousand votes have been polled in the state and assured to conduct fair polls. 58,000 polling booths will be set up in Karnataka, the southern state of India.

BJP will contest alone
Let us tell you that in 2018 Karnataka assembly elections were held on 12 May. Its results were declared after three days i.e. on 15th May. Where last time BJP emerged as the single largest party with 104 seats. Karnataka has a total of 224 seats, where it is necessary to win about 113 seats for an absolute majority. BJP has decided to contest the elections alone this time.
