‘Rahul Gandhi didn’t get married because…’, Congress hits back at Karnataka BJP president’s controversial statement

Nalin Kumar Kateel: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Karnataka unit president Nalin Kumar Kateel made a scathing comment on the marital status of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. The Congress has retaliated sharply on Nalin Kateel’s comment. During the BJP’s ‘Jan Sankalp Yatra’ in Ramanagara on Sunday, the state BJP chief alleged that Gandhi had urged people not to get the Covid vaccine as it would lead to impotence.

Dakshina Kannada MP Nalin Kateel said, "What did Rahul Gandhi say? Rahul Gandhi and (former Chief Minister of Karnataka) Siddaramaiah asked people not to get the Covid vaccine because they would not be able to have children. But Rahul and Siddaramaiah secretly got the vaccine done at night."

Kateel called the ‘Joker’

Quoting a BJP MLC in Karnataka, Kateel claimed, "That’s why our MLA said that Rahul Gandhi did not marry because he could not have children." Angered by the statement, Congress general secretary and in-charge of Karnataka Randeep Singh Surjewala called Kateel a ‘joker’.

He further said, "Such stupidities are always with cowards and fools. This is the specialty of BJP! They will insult science and scientists. They will oppose scientificity. They will promote conservatism. They will promote deceit. They should be pushed into the dustbin of history."
