14-year-long ban finally over, now proceedings of Gujarat Assembly will be seen on YouTube

Ahmedabad: The proceedings of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly can now be seen live. Proceedings of the Gujarat Assembly will now be made available on social media platforms on the initiative of Assembly Speaker Shankar Chowdhary. For this, a YouTube channel of the assembly has been launched. Choudhary got this campaign launched by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. In the coming time, people of Gujarat and the country will be able to see the proceedings of their assembly through YouTube channel. According to the Vidhansabha Secretariat, discussions of the Vidhansabha and all proceedings to raise questions and problems of the area will be available on YouTube. Vidhan Sabha channel on YouTube has been named @GujaratVidhansabha.

Broadcast was closed since 2009
The proceedings of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly were live-streamed until 2009, but following a controversy, the live telecast of the proceedings was discontinued. Since then, an hour-long paid program used to air on the regional news channel of Gujarat. In which the activities of the Legislative Assembly were shown, but the demand to show the proceedings of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly live was continuously rising. Some people of the state had requested the Speaker and the Chief Minister in this regard. So some people appealed in the Gujarat High Court on this issue. The argument of these people was that the people of the state should at least get an arrangement to see their representative in the house. 15 The YouTube channel of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly has been started at the end of the session. In the coming days, all the activities of the Vidhansabha will be present on other social media platforms as well. The Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly is at the forefront of this matter.
Chowdhary is doing new experiments
Shankar Chowdhary, the Speaker of the 15th Legislative Assembly, is constantly doing new experiments. After becoming the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, he first organized a two-day special session for the training of MLAs. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla had given training in this. After this there was also a written test of the MLAs. Chowdhary himself was seen cleaning on the first day of the assembly session. Chaudhary had fixed the time for discussion for each department. During this, the MLAs of both the parties kept their points. For the first time in the Gujarat Legislative Assembly, a program to play Holi was also organized. Chowdhary is working on a plan to associate some students with the legislators, so that the students can be exposed to legislative activities.
Like the Parliament and other assemblies, the Gujarat Assembly does not have this facility, it is banned for 14 years.
