Ahmedabad: Mafia Atiq Ahmed may be taken to UP again in connection with the Umesh Pal murder case. The UP Police team has once again reached Sabarmati Jail after the prison van. Recently, Mafia Atiq Ahmed was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Prayagraj court in Umesh Pal’s kidnapping case. After this, Mafia Atiq was brought back to Sabarmati Jail. Atiq Ahmed has been kept in the new barrack after his life sentence. According to sources, the UP police can interrogate Atiq even in the jail and can also take him to Prayagraj if needed. The UP police will interrogate Atiq in connection with the murder of Umesh Pal in Prayagraj on February 24. According to information, UP Police has got B warrant in Umesh Pal murder case. UP Police has reached Sabarmati Jail with this warrant.

Last time Atiq Ahmed was taken to UP by road on the orders of special court of Prayagraj’s MP MLA. Atiq Ahmed was produced in the court at the time of the verdict. After this he was brought back to Sabarmati Jail. On April 3, the Sabarmati Jail Administration was informed by the UP Police that Mafia Atiq Ahmed is also accused in the murder of Umesh Pal. In such a situation, there can be a possibility of questioning him and taking him to UP if needed. A UP Police personnel had reached Sabarmati Jail and handed over the necessary documents and a copy of the FIR of the Umesh Pal murder case to the jail administration. Since then there was speculation of questioning of Mafia Atiq Ahmed. Like last time, the UP police has brought two prison vans this time too. In such a situation, there is every possibility of Atiq Ahmed being taken to UP.
