Andhra Pradesh Tiger Cubs Rescued: Four cubs were found in a house in Gummadapuram village of Nandyala district of Andhra Pradesh on Monday (March 6) and forest department officials took them into their custody on information. . A forest official said that a tigress was roaring and roaming within a radius of two km of the area under Kothapalli mandal of Nandyala district.

He told that animal trackers reached the spot and started the process of finding the cubs and the area was cordoned off. Officials told that the Forest Department had installed a large number of cameras. He said the tiger cubs are quite healthy and are around three to four months old.

‘How the Cubs got here is a mystery to us’

Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Shanti Priya Pandey told that the officials will try to reach the tigress in the next 24 or 48 hours. If the tigress adopts these children, it will be a happy ending. If this does not happen then a decision will be taken regarding the further steps. priya pandey says "How the cubs got there is a mystery to us. I think some wild dogs must have chased the tigress away. In a hurry to run, she must have left the cubs there."

The life of the cubs depends on the behavior of the tigress!

The official said that if the cubs go back to the forest, their chances of survival would be very high. The department is considering options for returning the cubs, but the behavior of their mother will be critical.

Nagarjuna Sagar Srisailam Tiger Reserve, located in the Nallamala forests, is spread over five combined districts of Kurnool, Prakasam, Guntur, and Nalgonda and Mahbubnagar districts of Telangana. Spread over 3728 square kilometers, it is also the largest tiger reserve in India. This forest was declared a tiger reserve in 1983.
