Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar, who passed away yesterday, was laid to rest. The funeral was held at the Sri Kandirava Studio in Bangalore with official honors. Puneet was also buried near the grave of his deceased parents at Kandirava Studio. Many, including fans and celebrities, were part of the funeral procession.

Many politicians, including Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bomma, had come to pay their last respects to the star. He said he had a very close relationship with Puneet Rajkumar’s family Puneet Rajkumar Chief Minister Basavaraj Bomma said before giving the last salute that he was a small child.

Forty-six-year-old Puneet Rajkumar died on Friday following a heart attack. The funeral was originally scheduled for yesterday, but was postponed to Sunday due to delays in the arrival of her daughter in the United States.

Puneeth Rajkumar is the youngest son of Rajkumar, a famous Kannada actor. He started his acting career as a child actor and has acted in over 29 films.
Puneet first appeared in the lead role in the film Appu, after which fans affectionately called him Appu. He has acted in films like Abhi, Ajay and Arasu. Maithri co-starrer with Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has been translated into Malayalam. Yuvaratna is his latest film.
