Venkataramana’s son Karthik (22) and Bapatla Raju (22) who lives there are good friends. A young lady who had settled down from Prakasam district used to come to Raju’s house from time to time. So she fell in love with the king. On the other hand, Karthik also knows her. He also turned into love. The king first loved the young lady and wanted to marry her. But Raju came to know that his friend Karthik was also in love with that girl. He held a grudge against him for loving his future wife. He wanted to get rid of Karthik who was coming in the way of his love and marriage anyway. As part of that conspiracy, he conspired with his younger brother Harish to kill Karthik. According to the plan, on September 20, 2022, the three went together to the Ellamma temple in the suburbs of Nandipet, drank alcohol and drugged Karthik. Karthik, who was so intoxicated, was taken to Vijayanagaram Gutta and severely beaten on the head with a stick. Karthik died on the spot. Later they dumped Karthik’s body among the stones in Gutta area of ​​Vizianagaram and left. A few days later, the king married the young woman. As Karthik was not seen, his family thought that he must have gone to AP for survival.

It was suspected that Karthik might have been killed. When Karthik’s family informed the police, a bone cage was found in the dugout area. When the post mortem was conducted on the skeleton, the post mortem report confirmed that the skeleton belonged to Karthik.
