Coarse cereals will get a boost
It may be noted that the United Nations has designated 2023 as the ‘Year of Millet Cereals’. Chief Development Officer of Varanasi Himanshu Nagpal said, ‘‘Shri Anna Prasadam, coarse grain laddoos are being made by the women of self-help groups at Srikashi Vishwanath Dham. The sale of Prasad has started.’’
Self-Employment Deputy Commissioner Dilip Sonkar told, ‘‘Prasad’s laddoos for Shrikashi Vishwanath temple were made by women of self-help groups associated with the National Rural Livelihood Mission. He is called ‘Shri Ann Prasadam’ has been tasked with creating.’’
‘Shri Anna Prasadam’ Self-help group president Sunita Jaiswal told, ‘‘Laddoos of prasad are being prepared from khoya of millet, jaggery, sesame, cashew, almond, pure ghee and milk.’’ He told that currently packets of 100 and 200 grams of laddus are available for sale.
