Nagaur: BJP-Congress councilors clashed in the general meeting of Merta Municipality, fiercely kicked and punched

Nagaur News: There was a dispute during the general meeting of BJP (BJP) and Congress (Congress) in Merta municipality of Nagaur district on Friday. Not only this, this dispute increased so much that BJP and Congress councilors started throwing punches. Meanwhile some youths reached from outside. Those youths beat up the municipal employees. Merta Nagar Palika is a Congress board. This general assembly was called for the development works of the city.

In the meeting, the BJP and Congress corporators started a heated exchange of words regarding the development work of the city. During this, BJP councilor Vijay Raj Sankhla alleged that the hearing of ward number 7 was not held. Not only this, he became so angry that he threw the chair away. That chair fell near the Congress corporator. On this Congress councilor of Ward No-3 Amjad got angry and he climbed on the table and kicked councilor Vijay Raj. With this the dispute increased and there was fierce fighting in the general assembly.

The youths got entangled with the municipal employees
After the fight, the BJP corporator sat in the well protesting the assault by the Congress corporator. At the same time, the Congress got adamant on demanding strict action against the councilor and started raising slogans. Meanwhile, EO Ram Ratan Chaudhary and the staff reached to explain to the councilors sitting in the well. At the same time, some youths from outside reached the Well and they also started raising slogans. On this, the employees asked the outsiders to go out of the well. On hearing this, some youths got entangled with the municipal employees.

The dispute increased so much that fist-fight started between the youth and the municipal employees. During this, the people present in the well defended the beach. However, till now no FIR has been registered in the police regarding this whole matter. At the same time, the video of this fight is going viral on social media. Regarding the whole matter, Merta Municipality President Gautam Tank said that there was a scuffle during the rescue. Such an incident in the general body of the municipality is very unfortunate. An attempt was made to bring a no-confidence motion from the opposition.

He said that the arrival of outsiders and creating chaos in the auditorium is also condemnable. On the other hand, the Leader of the Opposition Pawan Paratani of the municipality said that we asked for the list and information of the development works done till date in the meeting, but the chairman of the municipality did not think it appropriate to answer. We condemn the act done by ruling party councilor Amjad. Please inform that there are a total of 40 wards in the Merta municipality area. Out of this, 19 Congress, 14 BJP and 7 independent councilors are there.
