The team of Food and Drugs Department has raided a factory preparing Sweets Made On Drains Bank in Khajrana area. Mosquitoes and insects have been found from the sweets during the raids. Also, there were piles of dirt beside the sweets, from where the smell was coming. There, the drain was flowing below. During the action, the officers seized about 8 quintals of sweets from the spot. Along with this, seven samples have been taken for investigation. An FIR has also been lodged against the sweet manufacturer at Khajrana police station.

As part of the campaign against adulteration, the team of Food Department in Indore has raided the sweet factory located at Star Square. Along with this, 8 quintals of sweets made from dirt have been confiscated. When the officers inquired about the license of the Food Department from Rakesh Garg, the operator of the firm M/s Garg Mawa Bhandar located near Star Square, he could not provide it. About 8 quintals of sweets were made from them like Mawa Katli, Mawa Roll, Mawa Cutlas, Peda, Gupchup, Sweet Mawa, Chocolate Barfi etc.

Mosquitoes and insects were also involved in many of these sweets. During interrogation, the operator Garg told that he used to get mawa from Damoh and Jhansi in large quantities to prepare the sweets. It is being told that in the past, a dhaba was operated at the place where sweets were being prepared at present. Along with this, the matter of action being taken on the same establishment three years ago has also come to the fore.

At present, the Food Department has sealed the factory by registering a case against the factory operator at Khajrana police station. At the same time, after the report of the sample sent for investigation, the administration can take major action on the factory.
