Pankaj Dwivedi, in-charge of Pardeshipura police station said that Vimad Sagar Maharaj (45) was found hanging in Jain Dharamshala of Nandanagar area. He said that the police have not found any suicide note of the Jain saint from the spot and the cause of his death is being ascertained. Meanwhile, after the alleged suicide of the Jain saint, several members of the community rushed to the spot where the police was investigating. According to the people of the community, the Jain saints had reached Indore in connection with Chaturmas (the saint’s stay at the same place for four months).

According to the police, they went to the room after a meal at one o’clock for a time. After this, when he did not come out of the room till 2.30 pm, the servant knocked on the door. But the door did not open. After that, the serviceman peeped from above and saw that the dead body of the saint was inside the room. The people of the society are shocked by this incident. At the same time, with special permission, the post-mortem of the dead body has been done in the night itself.
