Girish Bapat Death : Pune MP Girish Bapat passed away today. He breathed his last at the age of 73. His body has been kept at his residence in Shaniwar Peth for last darshan. The last rites will be held at 6:30 in the evening at Vaikunth crematorium in Navi Peth with state honors. He was known as an all-round leader and brother and his public relations in Pune were also great. That is why the people of Pune along with activists have gathered in front of his house for funeral darshan.
He has a house in Shaniwar Peth in Pune. Many citizens have crowded in the premises of this house. ‘Girish Bapat Amar Rahe’, activists are shouting with watery eyes. Girish Bapat is survived by wife Girija, son Gaurav and daughter-in-law Swarda and granddaughter. Many have come to console him. Girish Bapat’s son Gaurav Bapat and daughter-in-law Swarda Bapat are both lawyers by profession. Son is not active in politics but daughter in law is active in politics. She attends many programs in Pune. Apart from this, she was also seen in many programs with Girish Bapat. Bapat’s passing has left the family in mourning.

From young activists to the senior citizens of the village who have closely experienced the work of Girish Bapat, have gathered for the last darshan of Khasdar Girish Bapat. Along with that, women have also thronged for his last darshan. His departure has created a huge void in the BJP and Pune has become a child.
Leaders took a funeral
Political leaders also gathered to pay their last respects to Girish Bapat. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Minister Prakash Javadekar, senior leader of NCP Sharad Pawar, local leaders of BJP and local leaders of NCP have also gathered a large crowd. Many leaders paid their last respects to Sashru Nayan.
Consolation to the families…
Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis met and consoled the family of MP Girish Bapat at the residence of Shaniwar Peth. MP Bapat’s wife Girija Bapat, son Gaurav Bapat, daughter-in-law Swarda Bapat, sister Madhuri Gokhale, MLA Uma Khapare, Mahesh Landge, former mayor Muralidhar Mohol, Jagdish Mulik were present on this occasion.
