UP: SN got 150 crore ‘dose’, Medical Education Minister Suresh Khanna inaugurated these projects

Medical Education Minister Suresh Khanna on Tuesday inaugurated schemes worth about Rs 150 crore at SN Medical College. He also laid the foundation stone for a residential complex worth Rs 25 crore to be built for doctors. The Medical Education Minister reached SN College at around 11 am. He first inaugurated the modular operation theater built at MCH. From there the Nursing College came to the auditorium while dedicating the PG Hostel. Here the auditorium was inaugurated. Layed the foundation stone for a residential project for doctors in SN campus.

Here are the plans

auditorium: 500 seats capacity, built at a cost of Rs 9.45 crore. The construction was approved in 2016 and last year 2020 was ready. International level seminars and conferences will be held in this, which will benefit doctors and medical students. Till now there was no auditorium in SN. This was also one of the reasons cited by MCI for the reduction of 22 MBBS seats.

Hostel: The hostel has a capacity of 250 beds for post graduate students. 16.86 crore is made up of Rs. Completed in October 2021. The government got approval for its construction in 2016 due to shortage of hostels as per MCI standards. With its construction, now the seats of Masters in various departments in SN will increase.

Modular OT: 20 modular operation theaters have been built at a cost of Rs 60.50 crore. They got approval in 2004. Out of this, eight OTs were prepared in July last year. 12 OTs have been completed in July this year. There are OTs in various departments including Gynecology, Surgery, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology. State-of-the-art machines have been installed in it. In these, even severe merge operations can be done.
