Indian girls reached the final of T20 U19 World Cup.. Great victory over Kiwis in the semis

Indian girls have created history. Under 19 Women’s T20 World Cup reached the final. In the first semi-final against New Zealand, India won by 8 wickets. The Indian girls, who earlier defeated the Kiwis 5-0 in the bilateral series, showed the same intensity in the mega tournament knockout match. Earlier, the bowlers restricted the opposition to a low score, but opener Shweta, who was in excellent form, brought the team to the shores of victory with an unbeaten half-century.

Indian captain Shafali Verma, who won the toss in the semis, chose to bowl first. Parsavi Gaurav Chopra took three wickets for 20 runs and the Kiwis were restricted to 107 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs.

Coming into the ring with a short target, Team India lost the wicket of captain Shafali Verma (10) at 33 runs. But Shweta Sanjay Sherawat (61 not out in 45 balls), who has been performing consistently since the beginning of the tournament, added 72 runs for the second wicket along with Soumya Tiwary (22). Although Soumya was dismissed 15 runs short of victory, Telugu girl Gongadi finished the whitewash with Trisha (5).

This is the first time that the Girls’ Under-19 T20 World Cup is being held. Team India has created a record by being the first team to reach the final of this tournament. While Australia and England will face each other in the second semis, Team India will play the final on Sunday against the winning team.
