20 Shiv Sainiks were injured in a road accident on the Amritsar National Highway in Pathankot. Three people more injured

According to the police, Lakhwinder Singh along with his nephew Sanjeev resident of village Malahat was going in his Maruti car in Solan, Himachal for some work. On reaching near village Jandla, his car collided with a Dharamshala-bound bus of Haryana Roadways and during this time a tipper coming from behind hit the car. The car driver died in the accident, while a youth named Sanjeev Kumar, who was in the car, was taken to Nangal Civil Hospital with the help of 108 ambulance.

In view of the serious condition of Sanjeev Kumar here, after first aid, he was referred to PGI. The accident was so terrible that the car blew up and the drivers of the car, Lakhwinder and Sanjeev, were pulled out by people breaking the doors of the car. Civil Hospital SMO Dr. Naresh Kumar told that by the time Lakhwinder Singh was taken to the hospital, he had died. Due to the condition of the other youth in the car being very serious, after giving first aid, he was referred to PGI.

Action will be taken after taking statement

Investigating officer ASI Balram Sharma said that Lakhwinder Singh resident of Malahat, District Una died in this accident, while his nephew Sanjeev has been referred to PGI due to serious condition. Further action will be taken based on his statement.
