Punjab: Pakistan boat found in Pathankot stirred up, intelligence agencies alert, search operation launched

Intelligence agencies have become alert after a Pakistani boat was found in the Tarnah drain of Bamiyal, a town adjacent to the India-Pakistan border. Police station Narot Jaimal Singh, Bamiyal police and other intelligence agencies are engaged in the investigation of the case. At present, the Pathankot police have searched the boat and taken it into custody.

It is being told that there is no mark of any kind on the boat and nothing is written. As a precaution, Pathankot Police and Border Security Force conducted a search operation in the surrounding area. However, nothing suspicious was found.

Bamiyal police outpost in-charge Tarsem Singh said that around 12 noon on Wednesday, the Border Security Force had informed that a Pakistani boat had reached the Indian side through the Tarnah drain, which got washed away in the flow for 45 meters. The boat had reached near the symbol school post of Bamiyal sector of Pathankot. He said that the boat is being seized and investigation is going on.

One person arrested for espionage

A person has been arrested by the State Operation Cell in Pathankot on charges of espionage. The accused was in contact with a woman officer of Pakistani intelligence agency. The accused used to work in a crusher near the military cantonment in Pathankot. Used to send important information of the country to Pakistan’s notorious intelligence agency ISI. The woman officer implicated the accused in the honey trap and started doing this work in the greed of money. In another case, the State Operation Cell had arrested Krunal Kumar Bharia on October 23 itself. Krunal was posted in the IT Cell of the Indian Army in Ferozepur.
