Girdawari will be completed in three days in water logging affected villages: Khattar

Chandigarh, Oct 31 (PTI) Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday directed the Deputy Commissioner of Sonipat district to start girdawari (revenue survey) within 24 hours in the villages of Kharkhoda area affected by water logging.

The Chief Minister assured the farmers that the Girdawari work would be completed in three days. He gave this direction after meeting a delegation of farmers from around 20 villages of Kharkhoda area at his residence on Sunday.

The members of the delegation submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister and requested him to personally inspect the waterlogged areas.

According to an official statement issued in Chandigarh, Khattar said that whenever there is a problem of water logging, continuous work is done to remove it. He said that the water has been removed from the pumps present in the area and water will be removed from the rest of the areas soon.
