Ludhiana: Finance companies are not following the orders of Punjab Police, notice to the officers of Muthoot company for not installing the door frame

On behalf of the Police Commissioner, many instructions have been given to the finance companies and big showroom traders of Ludhiana in terms of security, but they are not being followed. This was clearly seen in Muthoot Finance Company on Saturday morning. The company did not install any door frame at the main gate. If a person walks in with a weapon, it is immediately detected from the door frame. Not only this, where gold or cash is kept, a turn style is installed. Only the person who is authorized can punch his finger and enter. In view of these two flaws, the police is going to summon the officers of Muthoot company by giving notice to them.

There was an attempt to rob 15 crores

The police is also bringing the company’s employees under the scanner in connection with the attempted robbery in Muthoot. It is worth noting that at present, the offices of big finance companies in the industrial city of Ludhiana are on the target of robbers. On October 2020, an attempt was made to loot 15 crores in broad daylight in the branch of Muthoot Company located in Dugri. At that time also six robbers had entered the branch office on the strength of weapons. As soon as the sound of gunfire came, the people around had gathered outside the branch. After this, three robbers were overpowered with the help of common people.

The crooks have also taken gold worth two crores

On 29 January 2018, some robbers took away gold worth Rs 2 crore from VK Jewelers located in Ludhiana’s Ghumar Mandi in broad daylight. The robbery was carried out in just 20 minutes. In February 2018, the robbers took away gold worth about Rs 12 crore from the Indian Infoline Finance Company located on Gill Road. In July 2019, robbers targeted an Amazon warehouse. They had fled from here with cash worth Rs 12 lakh. In the same month, at two places in the city, robbers have targeted two jewelers. In this, the police has solved the case of a robbery, while there is no clue of the robbery from the jewelers on Hambra Road.

The police is seriously investigating the matter, the company had installed CCTV cameras. There are no door frames or turn styles here. Police is investigating all aspects. Appropriate action will be taken in case of negligence in any case. Right now the focus of the police is to identify the deceased and control his accomplices.
