Noida International Airport work picks up pace, 31% work completed, 1600 crores spent

Noida: Rs 1600 crore has been spent so far on the construction work of Noida International Airport under construction at Jewar in Uttar Pradesh. It is being told that about 23 per cent of the total budget has been spent and up to 31 per cent work has been completed for the construction of the airport. The airport will be handed over to DGCA by December so that the trial run of the airport can start after technical equipment is installed. Earlier, the developer company Yamuna International Airport Private Limited has talked about increasing the speed of necessary NOC and other works.

The construction of the airport’s Air Traffic Control Building (ATC), terminal building and runway is progressing at a fast pace. At present, 2922 employees are engaged in its construction work. Tata Projects Limited started the construction work in June last year. Now the construction of road and interchange from airport to Yamuna Expressway is to be completed and 750 meter long road is to be made of 8 lanes. While four loops will be made in the interchange.
