Good news for ex-servicemen living in Noida, ECHS facility started in gyms, will be able to get free treatment

Greater Noida: The Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) has started in the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS). With this, retired soldiers will be able to get free treatment. ECHS has approved the proposal sent by the gyms management last week. Earlier also, patients used to come to gyms to get treatment under this scheme but due to lack of facilities, they used to return. Now thousands of retired soldiers living in Gautam Budh Nagar and surrounding areas will be able to take advantage of this scheme started in gyms.

Government schemes in gyms are continuously increasing the treatment facilities. Along with Ayushman Bharat, Deendayal Upadhyaya State Employees Cashless Medical Scheme, treatment facility was being provided from the Chief Minister’s discretionary fund. Cardiology OPD has also been started in the gyms once a week. The management is also considering to operate this OPD for two days. Along with this, facilities for MRI, CT scan, neurology and all types of blood test will also be given to the retired soldiers.

Approval was received last week for the treatment of retired soldiers from the ECHS facility. The password of the panel has also been received by the GIMS and the beneficiaries will get the facility of treatment here.

GIMS is the 31st hospital empaneled with the facility

There are 30 hospitals empaneled with ECHS in Noida-Greno. Now the number has gone up to 31 with Jims also getting approval for treatment under this scheme.
