Kanpur: An elderly woman and her grandson along with a dog died in a painful incident in Kanpur, UP. On Tuesday afternoon, an elderly woman was sitting on a chair in the sun, with many children playing around her. Meanwhile, a dilapidated wall fell heavily. The elderly woman and her grandson came under the grip of the wall. After the wall collapsed, the local people pulled out the grandmother and grandson from the debris. But both died on the spot. This painful incident was captured in the CCTV installed nearby. Krishna Devi (60), a resident of Kanjran Purwa, located in Kidwai Nagar police station area, was sitting outside the house. His 7-year-old grandson Kunal was playing with many children nearby. Meanwhile, the dilapidated boundary wall along with the heavy iron gate fell down. It is being told that the wall had become very old. It was standing in a dilapidated condition.
The painful incident of wall collapse was captured in the CCTV camera. The CCTV footage of the incident is viral on social media. It can be seen in the CCTV footage that Krishna Devi is sitting on a chair, many children were playing near her. Meanwhile, Krishna Devi and her daughter’s son Kunal got buried under the wall collapse. Part of the wall also fell on a dog. The dog is seen running away in the CCTV footage. There was a stir in the area after this incident. Locals pulled both of them out of the debris.
bodies were sent for postmortem
According to ACP Babu Purwa Santosh Singh, the woman and the child have died due to an old fall. The bodies are being taken into custody and sent for postmortem. There was a five feet gate in the wall. Probably the gate was on the head.
