Immediately after this, the officers of the Crime Investigation Unit of the MHB Police Station reached the spot. The accused was identified on the basis of CCTV footage from that area and some other evidence. It was learned that the accused was a neighbor of the plaintiff. However, since the operation of the accused was done eight days ago, instead of arresting him immediately, he was detained after issuing a notice under Section 41A.
Call to complain about witchcraft
The social welfare department has appealed to the citizens to report to the police station if any incidents of human sacrifice, inhumane evil, Aghori practice and witchcraft occur or are noticed in the area.
