Karnataka Assembly Election 2023: The official announcement of assembly elections in Karnataka has been made. After which the fight for tickets has also started. Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has now given a big statement regarding this. 

Chief Minister Bommai clearly said that its decision will be taken by the parliamentary board of the party. CM Bommai said on Friday (March 31), "The decision from where BY Vijayendra will get the ticket is to be taken by his father BS Yeddyurappa and the parliamentary board of the party. Let us tell you that there is talk of making Vijayendra a candidate from Varuna assembly seat against Congress strongman Siddaramaiah. 

‘Yeddyurappa will take the final call’

He said, "As our senior leader BS Yeddyurappa has said that we will give a tough fight in Varuna. He has also expressed his desire to field Vijayendra. This is also the wish of the people of that area." CM Bommai further said, "The final decision will be taken by Yeddyurappa as well as the BJP Parliamentary Board." Bommai’s statement comes just a day after Yeddyurappa ruled out the possibility of his son contesting against Siddaramaiah. 

Party gives Yeddyurappa a free hand

Let us inform that 80-year-old Yeddyurappa has announced his retirement from electoral politics, but even after this the party has made him the poster boy. BJP has given a free hand to Yeddyurappa in this election. The distribution of tickets will also be done according to them. The central leadership has made it clear that from ticket distribution to the formation of the new government, the work will be done under the leadership of Yeddyurappa.
