In Kashmir, the army taught a lesson to the terrorists, as many as 172 terrorists were killed during the year.

Jammu Kashmir News : A special campaign is being conducted against terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. Under this campaign, the security forces have succeeded in killing as many as 172 terrorists in the Kashmir zone alone in the last year i.e. 2022. According to the information provided by the DGP of Kashmir, as many as 93 successful encounter operations have been conducted in Kashmir during the past year. The DGP has given information about the activities done during the year through his Twitter account. Out of 172 terrorists, 42 are from abroad.   

According to the DGP, the highest number of terrorists killed in the last year are 108 terrorists belonging to Lashkar-e-Taiba and TRF. After that, 35 terrorists from Jaish-e-Mohammed, 22 from SM, four from Ab Badr and 3 from ADUH are included. This year, the number of new recruits in terrorist organizations has decreased by 37 percent compared to last year. This year, 74 people were recruited into the terrorist organization. 65 of them have been killed by the Indian Army. 17 of these terrorists have been arrested. 18 terrorists are still active.   

Citizens are being targeted by terrorists along with spreading terror in the Kashmir Valley for the past few days. But, the security agencies have responded to these plans of the terrorists. Out of 65 terrorists killed by security forces, 58 terrorists were newly recruited. The DGP informed that Yamsadni was raided in the first month after their recruitment. 

Large quantity of arms seized 

In the operation carried out by the security forces, along with the killing of terrorists, arms have also been seized in large quantities. As many as 360 weapons have been seized during the operation against the terrorists. These include 121 AK series rifles, 8 M4 carbines and 231 pistols. Apart from this, a large number of IEDs, sticky bombs and grenades have also been recovered during the encounter with the terrorists. Due to this, many terrorist incidents have been avoided.

29 citizens died 

According to the DGP, 29 citizens have lost their lives in different terrorist attacks in the last year. Of these, 21 were local citizens of Kashmir and 8 were from other states. Among the local 29 citizens are three Kashmiri Pandits, 15 Muslim citizens and 6 Hindu citizens.
