Holi Weather Forecast: Somewhere strong heat, somewhere rain… IMD told how the weather will be on Holi?

National Weather Forecast By IMD: The weather will also change its color moment by moment before and after Holi. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the weather will be capricious. There is a possibility of light heat in many places including the country’s capital, and there is a possibility of heavy rain and hail in East Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Marathwada and Central Maharashtra. According to the IMD, during March 06-08, there is a possibility of rain and thundershowers along with showers in the areas adjoining central and western India. 

The weather of the last 24 hours was like this

During the last 24 hours, the maximum temperature in Gujarat, Maharashtra, South Peninsular India, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal was 35-83 degree Celsius. While it remained 31-35 degree Celsius in many parts of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and 28 to 31 degree Celsius in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Northeast states.

The maximum temperature was 2 to 4 degree Celsius above normal over parts of northwest, east and northeast India and along the west coast and near normal over the rest of the country. On March 5, there were heat wave-like conditions in Coastal Karnataka. Light rain, snowfall observed in far flung areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

While light rain was recorded at some places of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, West Bengal, Sikkim, Lakshadweep including East Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and far flung areas of Kerala. Southeast Rajasthan And hailstorm was reported at isolated places in Gujarat region.

Western Disturbance will affect weather patterns

According to the Meteorological Department, Western Disturbance will be partially active in South-Western Rajasthan and its nearby areas.  Along with this, a trough i.e. low pressure area has formed in South Konkan and Central Chhattisgarh. Because of this, there is a possibility of light, moderate and rain with thunderstorms in central India on March 6 to 8. On the other hand, from March 6 to 9, there is a possibility of light rain with thunder in Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Gujarat on March 6 to 7.

On March 8-9, strong winds with a speed of 30-40 km in Jharkhand and there is a possibility of light or moderate rain with thunder. On the other hand, there is a possibility of showers in Odisha from 7 to 10 March.  On March 9-10,  The weather in Gangetic West Bengal will also present in the same mood. Light rain or thundershowers very likely over Arunachal Pradesh, East Assam, Nagaland on March 6-7. 

The weather pattern will be like this in the coming 5 days

There is a possibility of a decrease of 2 to 3 degree Celsius in the maximum temperature in the coming 2-3 days in Maharashtra and after that there is a possibility of an increase of 2 to 3 degrees. However, there is no possibility of any significant impact on the maximum temperature in other parts of the country in the coming 5 days. There is a possibility of clear weather in Delhi. The maximum temperature is likely to be 32 to 33 degree Celsius while the minimum is likely to be 14 to 16 degree Celsius in the coming week.
