Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur led the procession at Dadahu by shouldering the palanquin.
Talking to reporters, he said that fairs and festivals are an integral part of our cultural reserve and concerted efforts should be made to preserve it for the generations to come.
Thakur also offered prayers at Lord Parshuram Temple and Mata Renuka Ji Temple. Later the Chief Minister inaugurated the exhibition at the fair.
Power Minister Sukhram Chaudhary, Shimla MP and State BJP President Suresh Kashyap, MLAs Rajiv Bindal, Vinay Kumar and Reena Kashyap were also present on the occasion.
