Join Indian Air Force: If you are 12th pass and want to join the Air Force, then here we have brought for you the details of those entrance examinations, through which you can get the opportunity to serve the country by joining the Indian Air Force. Let us know in detail, through which examinations you can join the Air Force and what should be the age limit to appear in these examinations.

First of all, let us tell the candidates that to get a job in the Air Force, it is necessary to pass class 12th. Many key military officer positions also require a graduate degree.

NDA exam

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts NDA exam twice every year. To appear in the NDA exam, it is mandatory to have passed 12th class from a recognized board/institute. Along with this, the minimum age of the candidate should not be less than 16.5 years and maximum should not be more than 19.5 years. Interested candidates can check the details on nda.nic.in.

cds exam

Combined Defense Service (CDS) examination is conducted every year. Details related to CDS exam can be checked on upsc.gov.in. To appear in the CDS exam, it is mandatory to have a graduate degree in Mathematics and Physics after passing 12th. The minimum age of the candidate should not be more than 20 years and maximum age should not be more than 24 years.

NCC Special Entry

National Cadet Corps (NCC) Special Entry Recruitment is conducted only for candidates with Air Wing Senior Division 'C' Certificate. For this it is necessary that the candidate has passed 12th in Physics and Mathematics subjects. After this, it is also mandatory to pass Graduation/BE/B.Tech in any subject with minimum 60% marks. The age of the candidate should be between 20 to 24 years.

AFCAT Admission

To appear in AFCAT 2024, a candidate must have passed 12th as well as graduation. If candidates want to opt for flying branch, they must have passed 12th in Science stream with at least 50 percent marks. For graduate, candidates with at least 60 percent marks from any branch will be allowed to take this exam. The candidates who are successful in this examination, doors open for them to become fighter pilots in the Air Force. However, there are more stages which the candidate has to pass.
