The accused of raping a 7-year-old girl in Ranjit Nagar has been arrested after scanning 800 CCTVs with the clues at hand. The police caught him from Kalanaur in Rohtak district. The arrested accused has been identified as Suraj, 20, a resident of Raghuveer Nagar. Police said that the accused used to sell utensils with old clothes. On his behest, the police have also recovered the clothes worn on the day of the incident. Investigation has revealed that the accused had already carried out such an incident with a seven-year-old girl in Khyala. In this case, he came out of jail on bail. Police is investigating after interrogating the accused.
According to DCP Shweta Chauhan, on the morning of October 22, a six-year-old girl living in Ranjit Nagar area was abducted and raped. The girl was on her way to the gurudwara to get langar from home at the time of the incident. The girl was taken by ambulance to the nearby Vallabhbhai Patel Hospital. Where the doctors told that the girl was raped. The police started investigation by registering a case under the Rape and POCSO Act. In view of the critical condition, the girl was admitted to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital in the afternoon and her treatment was started. Several teams of the district were engaged in the investigation of the matter.
