To attract tourists, 11 tourist destinations of Gujarat will be developed with more facilities

Ahmedabad: The state government has taken an important decision to boost the tourism industry and create employment opportunities for the locals. The state government has decided to develop 11 tourist destinations in Gujarat. In which lesser known facilities have been added to attract more tourists as well as places with more tourists but less facilities have been included. The 11 destinations include historical and religious tourist attractions in addition to jungle-beach walks.

11 new tourist destinations include Polo Forest, Zaverchand Meghani Tourist Circuit, Morbi Dayanand Trust, Bat Dwarka and Shiyal Bat, Porbandar Beach, Surat’s Dumas Beach, Bhimrad Gandhi Smarak, Dang’s Pampa Sarovar, Shabri Dham, Anj. Large numbers of people flock to visit the Statue of Unity and Saputara also sees an increasing rush. There are also some scenic spots around these places which will also be developed by the state government

Heliports will also be constructed at 8 pilgrimage sites by the tourism department of the state government. So that the facility of helicopter is also available continuously. Pilgrimages to the helipad include Palitana, Ambaji, Somnath, Shamlaji, Dwarka and Saputara.

The government has been planning to re-launch the long-closed sea-plane following plans to build helipads at Dwarka, Somnath and Ambaji, popular pilgrimage destinations in Gujarat. All the issues were discussed in detail in the cabinet meeting.
