China’s CyberSpace Administration (CAC) chief Zhuang Rongwen said that our aim is to create a modern socialist country through civil internet policy. There are more than 1 billion internet users in China. Zhuang Rongwen said China is credited with being the world’s largest digital society.
The ruling Communist Party must make use of the Internet’s ability to facilitate communication. Zhuang Rongwen believes that the Internet should be used effectively to make the party’s innovative ideologies reach the homes of the masses.
“The main purpose of civic internet policy is to instill discipline among Internet users. Our aim is to inspire the use of the Internet to complement the principles of the socialist system,” Zhuang Rongwen said.
China, which has been pushing for a new Internet policy, is trying to unseat a country that has imposed severe restrictions on internet use. China is one of the countries that imposes strict restrictions on internet usage.
