Surat: Wednesday means from today if you want to visit malls, multiplexes and gymnasiums keep your corona vaccination certificate with you, otherwise you will not get entry there. Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) officials said those whose second dose was pending would also be questioned and their entries would be barred if they did not give satisfactory answers.

However, those who have recently taken the first dose and their time limit for the second dose is yet to be met will be allowed, health officials said.

After a long time, lines were formed at the vaccination centers
About a month and a half later, queues were seen at the city’s vaccination centers on Tuesday. Since Monday, the SMC has banned unlicensed persons from entering its offices. More than 7,000 people took their first dose on Tuesday. We hope that the number of people coming for the second dose will also increase, health officials said.

Training given for certificate verification
“We have instructed the authorities in malls, multiplexes and gymnasiums to check the vaccination certificates,” a health official said. Those who have received the full vaccine or have recently taken the first dose will be admitted. ‘

Posters affixed to entry points
Teams from the health department are meeting with administrators of malls, multiplexes and gymnasiums to explain how to initiate vaccine certification. The manager of a multiplex said, ‘We will scan the QR code on the app and then allow the person. We have started training our staff. ‘ Commercial organizations have started putting up posters informing about the rules at the entry point.
