Ujjain News: There is resentment among the farmers after the schedule of providing electricity at night for irrigation in Rabi crop came out. The officials of the farmers’ organizations have also sent a proposal to change the schedule to the General Manager of Madhya Pradesh Paschim Vidyut Vitran Company Limited. Irrigation plays an important role in Rabi crops and electricity is essential for irrigation. At present, 10 hours electricity is being provided to the farmers for irrigation. State General Secretary of Bhartiya Kisan Sangh, Bharat Singh Bais said that last year electricity distribution company was providing electricity for 6 hours during the day and 4 hours at night time. This time 7 hours is being given in the night, whereas electricity is being supplied only for 3 hours during the day. Farmers oppose this schedule.
