Maharashtra Violence Update: Two groups fought in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar at 2 o’clock. On this occasion, many private cars including police vehicles were set on fire. Stone pelting was also seen at some places. Meanwhile, State Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis has appealed that the situation in Sambhaji Nagar is under control and everyone should maintain peace. Devendra Fadnavis said, the tension in Sambhaji Nagar has reduced now. We are keeping an eye on it. Responding to this, Devendra Fadnavis said that we have deployed a heavy police force in Sambhaji Nagar as a precautionary measure. Also, one should not behave in such a way that creates tension. He also appealed everyone to remain calm.

Devendra Fadnavis said, ‘The situation that happened in Sambhajinagar at night has now been brought under control, so I request everyone to maintain peace. . Today we are celebrating the birth anniversary of Lord Shri Ram, so at such a time everyone should follow the norms and maintain peace in the city.’

Fighting near Ram Mandir
Meanwhile, an incident of fighting between two groups took place near Ram Mandir of Kiradpura police station area at around 2 pm. On this occasion, many private cars including police vehicles were set on fire. Stone pelting was also seen at some places. The incident took place near the Ram Mandir in Kiradpura area following an altercation between some youths. The police immediately reached the spot. The situation has been brought under control.

What is the matter?
According to the police, the incident took place on Thursday night around 1 pm. During the clash, around 20 vehicles were torched and stones were pelted. Police said personnel had to resort to force, tear gas and lathicharge to disperse the crowd and bring the situation under control. The police have taken one miscreant into custody, while the search is on for the others. District Guardian Minister Sandipan Bhumare, who visited the spot, also said the situation was under control and appealed for calm.
