Sandeep Lamichhane Comeback: Nepal’s star cricketer and accused of sexual abuse Sandeep Lamichhane has got an entry in the tri-series to be played under Cricket World Cup League 2 in UAE. He has been included in Nepal’s squad as a replacement for Mausom Dhakal. Mausom was injured during net practice. He has a shoulder injury.

Earlier Sandeep Lamichhane was kept out of Nepal’s squad going to UAE. This is because Sandeep was not allowed to leave the country. Sandeep Lamichhane is accused of sexually abusing a minor girl. He is out on bail but as per law such accused are not allowed to leave the country.

UAE and Papua New Guinea teams are included in this series to be held in Dubai. Nepal has also played one match in this series. Nepal defeated Papua New Guinea in their first match.

Lamichhane had to go to jail
Lamichhane was accused of sexual exploitation last year. The police had taken them into custody. Nepal Cricket also suspended him. After this he was released on bail and then Nepal Cricket lifted the suspension on him earlier this month. After the suspension was lifted, he got a chance to be a part of the playing-11 of the Nepal team. Here Sandeep Lamichhane made a strong comeback, taking 13 wickets in four matches.

Lamichhane has also played with Delhi Capitals
Sandeep Lamichhane is just 22 years old. So far this player has taken 82 wickets in 34 ODIs. Here his bowling average is 15.35. At the same time, this spinner has taken 85 wickets in 44 matches in T20 International. Lamichhane has bowled at a bowling average of 12.56 in T20 International. He has also been a part of the Delhi Capitals squad in IPL. Lamichhane has also captained the Nepal team.
