Vande Bharat Express: These companies won the tender for 200 new sleeper Vande Bharat train, bid the lowest

200 New Vande Bharat Express Train: A new version of the country’s semi high speed train Vande Bharat Express will come soon. Bids have been received for the tender issued by the Railways for 200 new sleeper Vande Bharat trains. Two companies have won this tender. These companies had the lowest bid. 

According to the rules of the railway, now these two companies will be issued the contract to make 200 Vande Bharat trains. The lowest bidder will be given the contract to manufacture 120 Vande Bharat Express trains, while the second lowest bidder will get the contract to manufacture 80 Vande Bharat Express trains. 

Which company made the lowest bid 

According to railway officials, Russia’s CJSC Transmashholding and Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (TMH-RVNL) consortium has placed the lowest bid for manufacturing 200 semi-high-speed Vande Bharat trains. In this, the Russian company has presented the lowest bid. The bid of both the companies is Rs 58,000 crore. After this, BHEL-Titagarh Wagon Consortium has offered the lowest bid at number three. 

How many coaches will the sleeper train 

Vande Bharat Sleeper Train will be of 16 coaches and this train will be run for long distance. These coaches will be manufactured at the railway factory in Latur, Maharashtra and ICF in Chennai. The lowest bidder will be entrusted with the upkeep, maintenance and other work and this company will manufacture it at the Latur factory. The second lowest bidder will manufacture 80 Vande Bharat trains in Chennai.  

120 crores for one train of Vande Bharat 

According to a PTI report, the Russian company has bid for Rs 120 crore per train set, which is less than the Vande Bharat Express train built earlier. On the other hand, the second company has bid Rs 128 crore for each Vande Bharat train. In such a situation, it will cost Rs 58,000 crore to make 200 Vande Bharat sleeper trains, in which maintenance charge is also available for 35 years.
