Pakistani cricketer tweets about Harbhajan, Indian spinner recalls past

The match between India and Pakistan in the T20 World Cup ended without any major drama. There were no clashes between the players of the two teams but there are currently clashes between the two former cricketers off the field. Pakistan’s Mohammad Aamir and Indian spinner Harbhajan clashed on Twitter on Tuesday.

Pakistan won the match by 10 wickets on Sunday and then Aamir tweeted a hit to Harbhajan Singh. Harbhajan Singh was furious and reminded Aamir of his spot-fixing incident. In fact, Aamir shared an old match clip in which former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi hit some sixes in Harbhajan’s over.

In response to Aamir’s tweet, Harbhajan Singh shared a picture of the Lord’s Test between Pakistan and England in 2010 for which Aamir was found guilty of spot-fixing. Aamir deliberately no-ball in this match. Harbhajan tweeted how the no-ball happened at Lord’s? Who gave how much? How can there be a no-ball in Test cricket? Shame on you and your other supporters for defaming the beautiful game.
However, the conflict did not end there. Aamir made another tweet using abusive words for Harbhajan and the Indian spinner also gave a scathing reply. Harbhajan tweeted that for people like Aamir Tara, there is only rupee, rupee, rupee. Ijjat or anything else is just money. I will not tell your countrymen and supporters how much money you got. People like you have insulted the game and fooled people.
In his final tweet, Harbhajan Singh shared a video of an old match in which he hit a six off Aamir’s ball to give the team the victory. He wrote a caption with the video, Fixer Six. Out of the park. Aamir variable running grip.
Harbhajan Singh and former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar have been joking on Twitter, but the feud between Aamir and Bhajji has shocked cricket fans in both the countries.

Salman Butt, Aamir and Mohammad Asif, the then captains of the Pakistan team that toured England in 2010, were involved in the spot-fixing scandal. All three players were later banned. Aamir and Asif deliberately threw a no-ball. Aamir returned to international cricket after the ban was lifted.
