Later, the partnership broke up after Yastika Bhatia got out. With this, all-rounder Natalie Scheever Brunt came into the crease.

But after her arrival, the situation in Bangalore was like falling from the pen into the oven. Healy Mathews, Natalie Scheever Brunt (55 not out: 29 balls, nine fours, one six) kept the scoreboard running by hitting boundaries at every ball. Bengaluru captain Smriti’s efforts to break their pair were unsuccessful. They added an unbeaten 114 runs for the second wicket. They added these runs in just 56 balls. With this, Bengaluru reached the target in 14.2 overs. Among the Mumbai bowlers, only Preeti got one wicket.

Four wickets for 43 runs

Richa Ghosh (28: 26 balls, three fours, one six), Kanika Ahuja (22: 13 balls, three fours, one six), Shreyanka Patil (23: 15 balls, four fours), Megan Schutt (20: 14 balls, Three fours) added valuable runs with the bat.

Healy Mathews took three wickets among the Bangalore bowlers. Amelia Kerr and Saika Ishaq took two wickets. Nat Skewer Brunt, Pooja Vastrakar took a wicket.
