Manchester United appointed Regnik as manager until the end of the season

London, Nov 29 (AP) Legendary Germany coach Ralf Regnick was on Monday appointed manager of the Manchester United football team until the end of the season.

The appointment will bring a change in the playing style and management structure of the English Premier League team and is expected to help them return to the top of the league.

Prior to joining United, Regnik, 63, was head of sports and development for Russian club Lokomotiv Moscow.

Former player Michael Kerrick has been in charge of Manchester United following the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on the 21st of this month.

The club said that United were planning to appoint a permanent manager for the off-season and Regnik would remain with the team in an advisory role for two more years.
