The bidding process for two new teams in the IPL is over. New teams will be fielded in the IPL from Ahmedabad and Lucknow. Of these, Ahmedabad team was acquired by CVC Capital and Lucknow team by RPSG. Sanjeev Goenka’s RPSG Group acquired the Lucknow franchise for Rs 7,090 crore, while CVC Capital Partners acquired the Ahmedabad franchise for Rs 5,166 crore. A total of 22 companies won the tender document worth Rs 10 lakh. However, only 10 of these companies are seriously bidding.
