Deandra Dottin ruled out: West Indies’ Lady Chris Gayle out of WPL 2023, another big blow to Gujarat Giants

Women Premier League 2023: The Women’s Premier League has had a very bad start for Gujarat Giants. They have faced a crushing or perhaps the biggest defeat of the season against Mumbai Indians in the first match. Mumbai defeated the Gujarat team by a huge margin of 143 runs. However, the bigger bad news for Gujarat was the injury of their captain Beth Mooney. After that, now another new and bad news has come out that Gujarat all-rounder player Diandra Dottin is out of the whole season.
 
This player, known as Lady Chris Gayle in West Indies cricket, There was an injury problem. Since then the medical team was examining him. Now the Gujarat Giants team has confirmed that Deandra Dottin has not got the medical clearance and hence she is out of the entire tournament. 

Let us tell you that the Gujarat team has included Australia’s Kim Garth in its team in place of Deandra Dottin, who used to play cricket for Ireland earlier, but is now a part of the Australian team. Former West Indies all-rounder player Deandra Dottin was included in their team by paying 60 lakh rupees to Gujarat. Along with bowling medium fast, she also does powerful batting. The Gujarat team has started the Women’s Premier League with a defeat.

Gujarat Giants flopped in the first match

In the first match played against Mumbai Indians, the Gujarat team won the toss and decided to bowl first, but the intentions of the Mumbai team were different. The Mumbai team took the team to 207 runs thanks to the brilliant half-century of captain Harmanpreet. Chasing this score, Gujarat captain Beth Mooney got injured and retired after playing only 3 balls. After that, the entire Gujarat team got all out for just 64 runs in 15.1 overs. Now it has to be seen how the Gujarat team will be able to recover from so many setbacks received at the beginning of the season.
