Ranchi
Harshal Patel, who did wonders in the Indian Premier League 2021, is making his international debut. Prior to the second T20 International match against New Zealand in Ranchi, former Team India fast bowler Ajit Agarkar handed over the cap of the Indian team to him. Patel was the highest wicket-taker in this season of IPL. He took 32 wickets while playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore.

After the toss, captain Rohit Sharma told that Patel has been given a chance in place of Mohammad Siraj, who was injured in the previous match. Rohit has won the toss and decided to bowl first. He said that it is the right decision considering the dew.

In this series against New Zealand, the Indian team management is giving chances to the stars of IPL. Venkatesh Iyer got a chance in the last match. However, Iyer was not bowled. It is expected that today Rohit Sharma will also try this skill of this player of Madhya Pradesh.

Harshal Patel did amazing bowling in the UAE leg of the IPL as well. He had troubled the opposition team a lot with his pace change. It seemed that Patel would be selected in the team of T20 World Cup but it did not happen. This decision of the team management was also criticized a lot.

Talking about today’s match, Patel has been given a chance to Mohammad Siraj. Siraj was injured in the last match. In this series, many big players of both the teams are resting, so the youth have a chance to show their talent.
