After the first Test draw, Dravid gave Rs 35,000 to the groundsman for a special reason

Kanpur Rahul Dravid is known not only as a veteran cricketer but also as a noble man. Another example was seen after the first Test cricket match between India and New Zealand. He paid Rs 35,000 to the ground staff of Shiv Kumar-led Green Park Stadium for preparing the sporting pitch for the test.

Ejaz Patel and Rachin Ravindra, both of Indian origin, showed excellent defense in the dim light and on a challenging pitch and did not allow the Indian spinners to succeed. The first Test match, which was thrilling and heartbreaking, was drawn on the final day on Monday.

“We officially announce that Rahul Dravid has personally given Rs 35,000 to our groundsmen,” the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association announced in a post-match press box.

In the days of his career, Rahul Dravid was known for his honest play and even after all these years, he did not show any difference. Dravid has given this rupee in the form of this compliment because he had prepared a pitch that would not make the match one-sided. The match did not pitch in just three days.

This was the perfect pitch where the batsmen had to work hard to score. Shreyas Iyer, Shubhaman Gill, Tom Latham and Will Young scored runs but they had to work hard for it. While Tim Southee and Kyle James had scattered the Indian top order. Both the bowlers were quick for a total of 17 wickets of the host team. The second and final Test is likely to have a similar pitch as Dravid has been awarded for the sporting pitch.
