Sedition section added in the case registered against those who raised slogans in support of Pakistan

Noida, Oct 29 (PTI) The sedition section has been raised in the case registered against those who allegedly raised ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogans during Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi procession. Three people were arrested in this case. The police gave this information on Friday.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Ranvijay Singh said that on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, slogans of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ were raised in the procession taken out in Sector 8 on October 20. He told that after registering a case under section 153A in this case, the police arrested Mohammad Zafar, Sameer Ali and Ali Raja.

He told that Mohammad Zafar has been jailed for murder in the past. He told that yesterday the people of Hindu organization gheraoed the police station Sector 20 and demanded action under Rasuka against those who raised slogans of Pakistan Zindabad.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police said that during the investigation, the police came to know that slogans were raised in the procession. He told that the police have added section 124A in this case on Thursday. He said that efforts are being made to arrest others in this case.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday warned of imposition of sedition law against those raising pro-Pakistan slogans in the state.

A case of sedition was also registered by the UP Police against three Kashmiri students in a college in Agra.

The three students had allegedly raised pro-Pakistan slogans on the victory of Pakistan against India in a T20 cricket match on Sunday.
