Noida:Noida Police has arrested 2 youths on the charges of badly beating a dog in the middle of the night. Police said that as soon as the information about the incident was received, the accused were taken into custody and the dog was sent to the NGO after treatment. The video of two youths beating a dog in Bhangel village located in Phase II Kotwali area of Noida is going viral. Within 15 seconds, both the youths hit the dog 9 times with sticks. This incident is being told around 2 pm on Thursday night.
ACP Amit Pratap Singh said that in this case both the youths seen in the video have been detained by the Kotwali police. Investigation is on by registering a case under relevant sections. According to the police, the dog being thrashed in the video is rabid and has bitten many people. In the past, when he bitten the child of the youth seen in the video, both of them beat him up. After getting the dog treated, it has been handed over to an NGO.
Thousands of people have seen this video going viral on the internet. Many people have tagged the commissionerate police officers and demanded action against the accused. In the past also, videos of youths beating dogs in different police station areas have been circulated, on which action has also been taken.
