Lucknow
Party supremo Mayawati’s anger erupted after 6 rebel BSP MLAs joined the SP. Reacting sharply, Mayawati called the MLAs rain frogs. He said that as the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh are approaching, the period of defectors moving from this party to that party has started, but this is not going to increase the support base of any party.

Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati on Sunday, terming the defectors as ‘raining frogs’, tweeted, “With the Uttar Pradesh assembly general elections approaching, the days of defectors from this party to that party have started again. But this is not going to increase the support base of any party, but it will only harm them. Therefore, BSP people should keep such rain frogs away from the party.

People understand everything – Mayawati

In a series of tweets, he said, ‘Not only defectors but like rain frogs, people are also hearing the names of many such parties whose names were not seen and heard till now. The public understands such a game of power gluttony and it is not going to affect them in any way. Change is irreversible.’
