Eyes: These small habits can damage your eyes, be careful!

Washing eyes with warm water: Many of us wash our eyes with warm water. But this is not really good. Eyes increase pitta dosha. So wash them with room temperature water or cold water.

Avoid blinking: Blinking is one of the effective ways to prevent eye strain. Apart from relaxing the eyes, it also lubricates the eyes to prevent dryness. Cleanses toxins. People tend to look at their mobiles too much and forget to blink. But frequent blinking is essential.

Don’t use eye drops: Some people use eye drops for instant relief if the eyes feel burning or sore. Although they are beneficial in the short term, they can make the eyes even drier in the long run. Long-term eye medications are almost always oil-based. These are good for the eyes.

Applying eye masks before sleeping: Many people sleep with eye masks as part of skin care. Hot compress eye masks may feel comfortable but are not good for the eyes. Eyes should be kept free to breathe at night. Ayurvedic experts suggest that it is better to wear a cold pack instead of a hot pack to prevent infections.

Rubbing the eyes repeatedly: It is a habit of many people. Frequent rubbing of the eyes is not good for the eyes. The thin membrane of the eyes protects them. Rubbing will damage it. It is better to wash the eyes with cold water instead of rubbing.
