Nikki murder: judicial custody of six including Sahil extended, accused will remain in jail till April 19

Delhi’s Dwarka court on Wednesday extended the judicial custody of six accused, including Sahil Gehlot and his father and two cousins, in the Nikki Yadav murder case for another 14 days. The accused persons were produced before the court on the expiry of the period of judicial custody.Link Metropolitan Magistrate, Dwarka has extended the judicial custody of Sahil Gehlot and other accused till April 19.

Sahil was arrested on 14 February. He had allegedly killed his live-in partner Nikki. Later, the Crime Branch arrested the other accused. Delhi Police arrested Sahil’s father, two cousins ​​Ashish and Naveen and two friends Amar and Lokesh after interrogation. According to the police, during interrogation Sahil revealed that the deceased was asking him not to marry another girl as both she and Nikki had already married in the year 2020.

She was actually his wife. There was no live-in partner. Police said that therefore she was urging him not to go ahead with the marriage fixed by his family on February 10, 2023, with another girl. According to the police, thereafter, they conspired and planned to get the deceased out of their way.
