India Post GDS Recruitment 2023: Indian Postal Department has taken out bumper recruitment for the post of Gramin Dak Sevaks for 10th pass in various circles of the country. A total of 40,889 vacancies have been drawn including all the circles. Maximum 7987 vacancies are for Uttar Pradesh Circle. It is followed by Tamil Nadu circle with 3167 vacancies, Karnataka circle with 3036 vacancies and Andhra Pradesh circle with 2480 vacancies. Interested candidates will be able to apply by visiting the official website indiapostgdsonline.gov.in. The applications have started from today 27th January. Candidates can apply till 16 February 2023.
10th pass candidates can apply for these posts. There will be no written test. Candidates will be selected on the basis of merit. Merit will be made on the basis of marks obtained in 10th. If a candidate has higher qualification, it will not matter. Only 10th marks will be the basis of selection. Branch Postmaster, Assistant Branch Postmaster, Dak Sevak posts will be filled under this recruitment of Gramin Dak Sevak.
Age Range
Minimum 18 years and maximum 40 years.
Five years relaxation will be given to Scheduled Castes, three years to OBC category in the maximum age limit.
Educational Qualifications
– Passed in class 10th from a recognized Board of School Education. It is necessary to pass in Maths, local language and English in 10th standard. It is also necessary to have studied the local language till 10th standard.

Selection Process
Based on the online submitted applications of the candidates, a merit list will be prepared and selected.
Candidates having higher educational qualification will not get any kind of preference. Final selection will be based on marks obtained in 10th.
